TRAILER | Jorge’s First Solo Flight

Jorge Oros came to Sonoma Skypark 3 years ago, when he was 13 years old, with the hopes of one day becoming a pilot.

On December 23rd 2009, Jorge joined the ranks of an elite group of pilots who are fortunate enough to take their first solo flight at the earliest time possible – when they turn 16 years old.

Jorge’s solo flight was witnessed by a group of his close friends and family as well as his instructor, Andy Smith, at Sonoma Skypark Airport in Sonoma, CA.

We’ll be working to complete the project by sometime in January of 2010, complete with interviews and more in-depth footage from Jorge’s solo flight.

The Collaborators Aerobatic Team

The Sean D. Tucker Collaborators Aerobatic Team performed their last demonstration of the season on Wednesday, November 12th 2008 at the Petaluma Municipal Airport in Petaluma, CA. Not only are these pilots performers who travel the world doing aerobatic demonstrations at airshows, a few are also instructors at the Sean D. Tucker School of Aerobatics (aka Tutima Academy of Aviation Safety.) Sean D. Tucker flies the red Challenger II biplane, while his son Eric flies the red and white Extra 300. Ben Freelove, a good friend of mine, flies the silver and blue Extra 300 and last but certainly not least, Bill Stein in the holographic Zivko Edge 540.
